I Surrender

To surrender is not to quit

To surrender is not to give up

Surrendering is not accepting defeat

To surrender is to trust

To surrender is to know

To surrender is finding that strength and humility to let go

To surrender is to humble yourself to the higher power

To the laws of energy ruling the universe

To surrender is to let nature takes it course

To surrender is to welcome sunrise and sunsets at its own time

To let darkness descend and let the tiny speckles of stars decorate the sky and moon brightens the darkest of hour

To surrender is to trust, that you are enough. That you are able. That you are capable.

To surrender is allowing yourself to fall, and staying there for as long as you must. Embracing the dirt, gathering up your strength, mastering your breath.

To surrender is to stand tall and high, reaching for the sky, facing the day.

To surrender is to not know what that day may bring, but open to receiving whatever it is it may bring.

To surrender is to know that wherever this road lead, that it is the road that you know leads to a better you.

With that I surrender. I take in my deep breathe, taking it all in, and breathing it all out.

I surrender knowing what I knew, without understanding why. Open to know something new.

I surrender and set myself free.

Free from expectations.

Free from delusions and illusions.

I surrender myself to sit in my truth. Sit in the reality that is neither how it should have been, could have beeen, would have been, but rather what it truly was.

I surrender myself to the present, not the potential of the future that is never promised.

I surrender myself to this  moment. This moment of hurt, of joy, of laughter, of sorrow, of pain, of agony, of triumph. And this moment.

This moment, will pass me by.
